Woodford County Chamber Commerce Most Oustanding Farmer Award

On February 23 2012 the Woodford County Chamber Commerce hosted an awards ceremony recognizing members of the community. Bobby Gaffney received the most outstanding farmer award for his innovative produce based business. Kentucky.com and the Midway Messenger covered the ceremony as many local Woodford County businesses and organizations were recognized.   http://www.kentucky.com/2012/03/07/2098711/woodford-chamber-of-commerce-presents.html

The Gaffney Farm C.S.A. Visits Transylvania University

Transylvania University hosted a local foods fair to inform the public of ways that they can purchase local food. The Gaffney Farm was invited to the fair along with many other local C.S.A.s and local producers. The Herald Leader did a full article and it can be seen here.  There was a lot of interest in the C.S.A. concept among local consumers and a lot of ideas exchanged between the local producers. We are thankful to Transylvania University for hosting the fair and generating interests in local products.

Gaffney Farm Produce Bags

The produce bags for our C.S.A. have arrived.  Each member of the C.S.A. will receive two. They can be used each week to carry produce in. These will help the C.S.A. to be less wasteful, and hopefully will make it easier for members to carry produce. We are looking forward to handing them out.
